Mobile: What do we offer?

  1. Implementation & Projects - We can help you build your mobile application, taking our proven project delivery method and applying it to your business case. Being a full service provider, we can help you from a graphical desing up until getting the app in the app store.
  2. Concepting - Thinking about a mobile application? We can help out making decisions about target groups, usability, and design in the concepting phase.
  3. Workshops - In several sessions we can help design the mobile solution. Together with customers and (potential) users we explore functionality, and design user interaction. This provides input on the solution up-front.
  4. Support & Maintenance - When releasing a mobile application early and often, your success relies on availability of your solution. Within our dedicated support organisation we ensure your solution keeps running.

Mobile

Mobile has become an important channel for almost all applications. Some choose to have their existing website optimized for viewing on mobile devices, some create a dedicated website for these devices tailored to mobile user needs, whereby the latter is the choice for a full native application. Trifork has extensive experience in helping its customers with any of these scenario's. Below you will find a small snapshot of what we have done to date. We're afraid we can not publically share all of our cases with you, but if you contact us we can tell you more.

Mobile sites

Although all of the websites that Trifork builds are made to function correctly on mobile devices, in some cases we recommend building a specific mobile version of a website. We advise this when we see that there is an opportunity to offer mobile users a different user experience, tailoring the site to their specific needs (e.g. geo-location support, offline mode). In these cases we typically design and build a mobile website from scratch, by rethinking the application from a mobile users' perspective. Obviously where possible we'll always try to use the existing concepts, tools and infrastructure as a starting point.

iPad

Tablet applications are starting to become more and more popular. By rethinking applications for tablet users, you can start engaging with your audience in new and amazing ways. Ranging from professionals performing their day-to-day tasks to more interactive interactions. In this last category, Trifork has developed an application that helps children learn how to write.

Read more about this application in our case study and the technical insights in the blog entry.

iPhone

iPhone is still the number 1 platform when it comes to mobile development at Trifork. This is not because it is the biggest platform (Android is currently leading) but because customers tend to consider the iPhone to be one of the most important requirements. Therefore, Trifork has invested extensive experience when it comes to developing applications for iPhone devices.

Some projects include:

  1. Events App: For conferences whereby attendees not only have all event related information at hand, but can also directly use the app for networking, asking questions to the speakers, rating the sessions etc.
  2. Scan & PayAs the name suggests an app that has been developed to scan a barcode, account details or invoice for payment process thereafter.
  3. Mobile Remote Control: Any systems that are now controlled by a remote control can easily be managed by a mobile device, Trifork is able to tailor a mobile solution to accomodate your needs and business.
  4. An application for The New Motion, a company specialized in electric cars whereby the app offers services to users such as how to locate the nearest charging station etc.

Android

screenThe Android platform is becoming more and more important especially seen as their market share is already far larger than that of the iPhone. Therefore, many companies see Android as an important channel for their applications. One of the examples of applications that Trifork has built is the Android Explorer for Solr and a sample app for really young children (see screenshot).
